Not for the faint-of-heart, but for anyone who wants the thrill of a lifetime, one has to go to Reutte, Austria (of all places) and walk the HIGHLINE A179. A suspension bridge nearly a mile in the sky, it sways and is a bit daunting...More

It’s a quirky thing to do .. but fun for kids who are not afraid .. the only drawback it’s a good 30-40 minute hike up which older people find hard .. I hope they put a lift up soon as there’s some working going...More

Whilst on the latest #windy500 mystery road trip we had the opportunity to walk this bridge!! The trek up to the bridge from the carpark is pretty strenuous in it's self, steep, long and uneven, take some water and pace yourself!! Now I don't mind...More

Initially scared, we started walking on the bridge. The little swaying of the bridge added to the excitement and when we reached the middle of the bridge and looked down from the wire mesh floor, we could see the cars lined up on the highway....More

The scenery, ruins, fort and bridge are all a must see. My family enjoyed the bridge and the views, the walk across isn't for those afraid of heights. I would recommend a visit.

You have to package the Highline 179 with Ehrenburg Castle and the Zauberwald (magic forest), since you park in one spot and you have access to all three, with one parking fee. There are more castles to see, but most people will not venture farther...More

This bridge is long! We were a slight bit worried at how much it swayed, but soon realized it was normal and enjoyed the 400m walk over and back.

I visited the Highline last August and took the 4250 bus to the entrance of the main visitors car park. The wide path up to the highline was not too hard going as I am 72 years of age. I could see that they are...More

This is a value attraction for sure. For 8 euro (plus 4 or 5 parking), you get access to castle ruins, the highland bridge, a great view and some exercise in. You park in the lot and need to get a ticket from a machine...More
