We visited on a hot morning in early October. From the moment we got off our tour bus, we were beset with children asking for money and street vendors. I believe our cruise ship may have been the first of the season and our guide...More

great food from street vendors and cafes, lots of street sellers of hats and souvenirs but no one is pushy at all. Always bustling and lively. Great during the International Poetry Festival as loads of brilliant live music

This plaza has it all. It is a beehive of local activity. Horse drawn carriages, shopping, food, and plenty of locals just hanging out enjoying the day.

You have to wander through the park if only to get a feel of where you are. Lots of people selling stuff but it is how they survive. Have lunch, buy a hat, a pair of sunglasses. Why not?
