A nice environment street that starts aside the Cathedral with direction to the Nicaragua Lake. It is about 500 meters long. Perfect for a walk at the end of the day. There are lots of restaurants, ice cream shops, souvenir shops, pubs and bars, there are also fashion stores selling the famous Nicaraguan “guayaberas”, a typical mens linen shirt in... More

This is where it is at in the evenings! Restaurants and bars in every building. And it is pretty nice in the mornings, too. Take an early morning walk down to the lake and enjoy the rising of the sun.

I spent months in Granada and love the city. There are many wonderful restaurants both on and off La Calzada and it's a good idea if you can take time to explore as many as you can. You will find relaxing massage, the best Sangria you've ever had the pleasure to sip, food that is simply to die for and... More

I jumped around different places while I was there. My favorite for churrasco and cheap drinks was Torito. Be sure to watch the sunset colors in the clouds above the church to the west.

This street is the main area full of tourists. With some lovely restaurants however if you are travelling with a budget I recommend you eat outside of this busy street as the restaurants are quite expensive. Outside of the street are some lovely Nicaraguan restaurants for a reasonable proced meal. The street as loads of spectacular hotels. I would recommend... More

This Street, la calle la calzada, is called "gringo street" by many locals because it is a major tourist destination in Granada. Do not let that deter you from walking up and down this pedestrian several blocks starting right behind the Cathedral on the Central Park-there is a minor amount of intermittent motorized traffic, mostly motorbikes. As other reviewers have... More

We walked on that street every night to fin a different restaurant - witch there are a lot, and very good ones, and to be in the people, looking of the artists performing on the street and artisans selling their creations.

Although it is open during the day, it is at nightime that this pedestrian zone comes alive. There are lots of eating and drinking places up and down the street - you get spoiled for choice. This is definately the place to see and be seen and it does get quite busy. Nearly all of the restaurants have tables out... More

Calle Calzada is the best place to go in Granada during the evenings, especially for drinks and people watching. There are numerous restaurants that offer decent meals, but, you will find that the prices are a little higher than in the hidden gem restaurants that are located 1-3 blocks off the main Calzada drag. I'd also recommend that you look... More
