I took classes for a week and did the home-stay. Everybody is really nice, both at the school and my home-stay family. BUT nobody could speak any English at all. Since I didn't know any Spanish beforehand it was really frustrating. I couldn't ask any questions and the focus was mainly on grammar. My teacher didn't really understand that I... More

Really recommend casa nica to anyone wanting to improve their Spanish. We did a week of lessons, two of us sharing one teacher, and really learnt a lot. Our teacher - Bosco - was so friendly, patient and helpful. We also did a homestay, organised through the school, with a lovely family just a few doors down from casa nica,... More

I participated in this school and homestay for one week. It was one of the best experiences in Nicaragua. I stayed with Vanessa and her family and they accommodated my vegetarian diet. I did 4 hours of private lessons and 4 hours of an activity per day. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable with Spanish lessons and Nicaraguan culture... More

We stayed at the casa Nica language school for 2 weeks including homestay. We really liked our teacher, she was very professional, friendly and we had fun together ( we did 2-on-1 lessons). The homestay was great, perfect food and when I was sick they took really good care of me. The cultural activities we did with the school in... More

I had a one week homestay at Casa Nica. It went very well. My instructor was Marlon who was very good. He was patient and corrected me when I needed it.... which was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this Spanish School. The activities were a great experience too. Regarding the homestay, like other posts, it was not very clean. The... More

Spent two productive and enjoyable weeks studying with Casa Nica in Granada! The colonial building contributes to the feeling of being in Granada and all the staff and teachers were warm and welcoming. My teacher was knowledgable and able to pinpoint specific needs of my intermediate Spanish, without making me trudge through grammatical lectures. The friendly atmosphere, made it easy... More

The school experience was great. My whole family took courses here (the three of us) and we felt very much at home right away and the approach was professional and personal at the same tiem. My teacher was Bosco, who impressed me by the breadth of his knowledge and curiosity for such a young guy. He carried me through conversations... More

We did one week of language school. Techers were great and I recommend the school. Our homestay was not so great, it was pretty filthy and they did not clean a thing even after the school and we told them to please do so. We did not bother to change because it was only one week. Be sure to check... More

Highly recommend this school. The teachers are great and the 1-on-1 personal attention is phenomenal if you are looking to improve your Spanish fast. Beyond learning Spanish, I developed personal relationships with many of the teachers there and after a month it really felt like home. It was a great way to get to know Granada in a really authentic... More

I recently spent two weeks studying in Granada at Casa Nica Spanish School. The one on one instruction was a great way to bring my Spanish up to the next level. I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon activities and learned about Nicaraguan culture while still working on and practicing Spanish conversation. A home stay with a Nicaraguan family is the only...
