These islands are truly beautiful and an absolute must-see if you are in Granada. Make sure to stop at one of the restaurants in the islands and also visit monkey island (though remember to bring food for the locals if you do!).

Numerous charter boat services provide short rides (30 min) to a number of the Granada Lake islands where dining, swimming and relaxation is available. The facilities are generally nicely done but food/beverage is only average. Not expensive, though. It's a pleasant 1/2 day on the lake. There are a lot of worse ways to spend an afternoon.

Islands show a wast diverity present in Nicaragua. From poor families living in "sheds" to proper Haciendas that look just amazing. Not so much to do, but rather enjoy the ride in the boat and look around!

Estoy Vivo! Exploring the little islands around lake Nicaragua was one of my highlights in Centro America before getting to Costa Rica. A big thanks to Captain Marty and his crew. Best way in Nicaragua to enjoy some cold Tona cervezas and enjoy life!

We made the tour on a windy day. There were high seas and the boat rocked alot. I enjoyed the ride but other less sea worthy riders didn't. We made a few stops, saw some caves, monkeys, rocks. For me, once you see one island with monkeys, all the other islands are the same. This was not one of the... More

It is a good relaxing day to cruise with a boat through the isletas. You can actually swim too in the very warm water (due to the vulcanoes)!

We went on a private boat tour of the Islets set up through Hotel Colonial Granada. The guide was friendly and very knowlegable of history and local species. Of you travel to Granada do not pass up this tour!

Taking a boat tour of the islands is interesting but not spectacular. Guides frequently share about prices of the islands for sale, and might throw some other tidbits in about nature. In the past, I went with the tour company on the far left side in the ranchon, where many of the tour companies are located right by the water... More

Loved my boat ride. You get a tour or you can go with a kayak. I went during rainy season so I did not stay long.
