I went with Tierra to the Isletas and to Mombacho Volcano (Masaya was closed at the time. My gripe was that they couldn't provide schedule/prices over e-mail, but once I reached the office on the big pedestrian street in Granada, they were easy to deal with and it looked like they have a lot of options available. Both of the... More

We were in Granada for 5 days in May and did several tours with Tierra Tours. Lonely Planet and Trip Advisor had recommended them and they had a great selection. We did their tour around the islands in Lake Nicaragua, the trip to Volcano Mombacho with the ziplines included, and their trip to Masaya for the handicraft market and spa.... More

We loved our time in Leon and were very impressed with Tierra Tours. We enjoyed two of their excursions, and had Dennis for both. We enjoyed our time with him so much the first day on the kayaking tour of En Isla Juan Venado Las Peñitas that we were very excited the following day to discover that he would be... More

I was traveling alone from Granada, and they were able to hook me up with another group to go volcano boarding from Granada. The hike was hard, but the trip down was an amazing 3 minutes!

Figuring out Mombacho and ziplining from the US was difficult, but what we found was that doing a tour was the way to go. It is actually ala carte and doing solo quite pricey and you don't have a guide etc...if you do it with a tour, it costs the same (minus tip) and worth it. Your group has its... More

I arranged for a private driver for a day-trip to the Pueblos Blancos and Masaya,on Wednesday of this past Holy Week. Leonel was my driver and he was prompt, polite, knowledgeable and respectful. He took me exactly where I wanted to go and I saw more than I had hoped for. We spoke in Spanish, but at the end of... More

We did four tours with Tierra Tours and they were all fantastic. The guides were well informed and spoke English really well. They made it fun and informative for the teens, kids and adults. I also really appreciated their transport service. We were staying at a resort outside of Granada and they provided transport to and from the resort at... More

We took the trip to Mombacho and the Islet boat trip. Really awesome staff - friendly, knowledgeable and went out of their way to make the experience great. On our way back to the office they even dropped people off at restaurants or hotels

Took the 2.5 hour double kayak tour of Las Isletas through Tierra Tours, Granada. An easy paddle for most ( I am 62 years old and have a handicapped leg). The lake is gorgeous and the wildlife and flora throughout the Isletas is stunning. Our guide spoke functional English and was very knowledgeable about the surrounding environment. The only tip... We did the Mombacho Xpress and Canopy Tour. The company was great because they picked us up from our hotel, provided transportation up to the top of the volcano - which would have been a very long walk. At the top the English speaking tour guide walked us around the crater, which was a very easy walk with frequent stops... More
