Great for a flavour of north Indian savouries

Outstanding jalebi and kachoris in the morning. Grumpy staff but what the hell, it lends to the character.

This is quite a small temple. It has just over 1,100 rooms in which Indians, over 55 and single, can stay for free.

We visited this place, thrice during our 9 days stay at Rishikesh. Breakfast- puries with sabji - only for ₹16 was unbelievable. Well cooked. The other 2 visits were for sweets, excellent preparations, inexpensive, and pleasant ambience ......so close to Ram jhoola. Recommend baloo shahi for every one to taste. We bought sweets to bring back home to Mumbai and... More

Gita Bhavan is very popular place for devotees who come to Rishikesh for spiritual reason, situated on bank of Ganga having 1200 rooms with paid dinning area. I don't understand why photography is not allowed inside, it has simple temples and very quite area..

Interesting place for those wanting to know about hindu religion and also picking up some souvenirs. I picked up a copy of Gita from here, was always curious to know about it.

Gita Bhavan is an old landmark in Rishikesh, I have been visiting this place since childhood. I love the collection of textiles it sells, especially good quality and reasonable priced variety of woolen shawls. I find the ayurvedic medicine shop very helpful and have bought Amla juice and honey from here. There is a lot to explore at Gita Bhavan... More

Gita Bhavan is near to Ram Jhula and on the banks of River Ganaga. They have their book stall, ayurvedic shop, etc. set up here.

This Bhavan is situated on the other side of Ram Jula or the other side of River Ganges. Bagavat Gita is taught here . The willing pilgrims are allowed to sty free of cost in this ashram and they are taught Bhavat Gita. A Beautiful Lord Krishna temple inside.
