Took our 8 year old daughter to The Nature Zone while we were in Lynchburg for a swim meet. She loved it! It's very small but that made it nice to be able to see all of the animals/reptials/insects and learn about each one. She...More

Great for kids and the whole family. Love the opportunity to see local creatures while learning about conservation and protection. Always fun to see what critters will be skittering around the room during a visit.

My four-year old grandson really enjoyed seeing the live animals. Kind of small- took less than half an hour and that was stretching it. I'm in a powerchair- the facility and displays were very accessible.

Admission was free, the only place to take kids to see live animals in Lynchburg. Combined with a trip to the market, makes for a nice Saturday afternoon!

I liked taking my toddler there for a free exibit on bee keeping. We liked the iguana which was pretty much the largest animal there. The staff person spent a good bit of time answering my questions and allowing my child to touch things. The...More

Very small, few creatures, didn't get to see the bigger ones...fine for young kids, 3-4, thankfully was only $1-$2. But not really too special.
