The Lee Chapel is well worth a visit and includes the resting place of Gen. Robert E. Lee as well as the space he used as his office during his time with the university. Good tour and nice shop included.

This is my undergraduate alma mater and I hold a special place for it. Visiting regularly since my time there, Lexington and W&L bubble with history and innovations. The venerable Virginia Military Institute is next door and well worth a visit as well.

Beautiful college campus; worth visiting just for historic value. It is a peaceful and tranquil place for a walk. Plus, seeing the college kids is fun!

The final resting place of Robert E. Lee, who served as the president of the college following the Civil War. The school has a stellar academic reputation along with a beautiful campus. The retained old-school charm while keeping amenities modern.

I have been to many colleges. This one is a great one to see simply because it has a great history behind it.

Beautiful area for an afternoon walk and especially pleasant at dusk. Connects to Virginia Military Institute campus for more of a stroll. Can park at Lexington Visitors Center and walk a block or two to campus.
