Very nice cemetery and gravesite located near downtown Lexington , Virginia . Large monument found of General Thomas " Stonewall " Jackson who lost his arm in battle and his life soon afterwards. Other members of his family are buried nearby as well.

What a great monument to a great man. This is an awe inspiring visit, especially when you know the history of Gen Jackson. Monument is detailed and a true work of art. Well worth a visit

Great to see something so rich in history. Eerie and revered to see such a famous person in history’s gravesite.

I always take visitors to the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. There are more than a hundred civil war soldiers buried here, many of them high-ranking officers. You can walk around and trace the family trees by the grave stones.

Stonewall Jackson and his family are buried here. He was a CW hero and beloved teacher at VMI prior to Civil War. Place of peace and reflection on History.
