VMI is very open and welcoming to visitors, with many buildings easily accessible. Start at the VMI museum, and don't miss the monument to and graves of the VMI cadets that gave their lives in the New Market battle of the Civil War.

Really enjoyed the museum at VMI. Saw many images of how the cadets dressed over the years. There was a lot of info on cadets that later served in the military, their stories. The campus was beautiful. Very nice experience!

The best museum in town. Well worth a visit, particularly if you are interested in the Civil War and the part played by Stonewall Jackson and the VMI Cadets.

This school is on my son's top five choices. It is a unique and impressive institution. The cadets have a hard life but the rewards are clearly plentiful.

I'd suggest contacting the school or the museum.
