Great way for a quick trip to MD! Fast and kids love it! Price is reasonable and not a long wait. Fits a good amount of cars and goes a short distance from one side to the next.

Our grandkids love this experience. We do also. avoid beltway to get to northern maryland. Just be careful of hidden traffic camera in Poolesville.

There are other routes, but this is direct and can save quite a bit of time in traffic. It has the added benefit of being a part of history and, well.... quaint.

An interesting and historical way to cross the Potomac. In an area rich with history it is just one more fun way to talk abt it with your kids.

We always have a good time on the ferry whenever we need to go to Maryland on that end of MD. Nice scenery, fun for a change and it’s cheap! Sure to save me the long way around.

Only $8 return fare if you need to get from Leesburg area of VA to burgs across the Potomac such as Poolesville, Boyds or villages in that area. Appreciably faster that across the bridges either North or South of there.

the boat stops at 11:00 pm and it has no other schedule. If there are cars or a car on one side, they will come across to get it so you can continue your trip 8.00 dollars round trip.
