Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Terrible place! My worst winery experience. They simply don't take care of guests.
We sat for more than 1 hr, they didn't take our order, despite reminders. Mind you, every server was free and they were talking to other guest, but ignoring many others. Finally, after waiting for 1+ hr, we came back without any wine.
They ensure their guest feel insulted. We wasted an entire Friday and wish we never went there. Of course, we will never visit this place again; and neither should you!

The winery is just lovely with several outdoor seating areas (in addition to the indoor space). We very much enjoyed the views and the overall feel of the place. The service, however, was slow... and I mean really slow. In fact, right after we sat down the neighboring table actually warned us about the pace of things. The wine and cheese, etc were all good and we would have ordered more after our initial sampling but we had other places to go and things were just taking too long.

This was a fantastic place to visit. The staff were extremely pleasant & explained the history of the family & winery. The wines (Chardonnay & Merlot) were the best wines we tasted while visiting the Northern Virginia wineries.
I would definitely recommend a visit to this winery

Good wines, bad service, and not family friendly. This place used to be the best winery in Loudoun County. The wines are still great, albeit expensive, but the service is subpar. Also, kids are not welcome inside or on the patios, under the pavilion or gazebo, so no longer a good place for families.

We came here as our last winery of the day and it was instantly our favorite. The vibes and energy are upbeat and the wait staff was friendly. The wine was ok but the atmosphere made up for it. Also they have a large menu for food. You’ll be happy you went.

This is one of the top wineries in the county. All varietals are well crafted, balanced and reasonably priced.

The visit to the winery is pleasant with outer and indoor seating. Food is available or bring your own for an outdoor picnic.

Enjoy!

If you ever get a chance to visit Doukenie Winery ask for Hope. She is the 95 year old daughter of Doukenie who makes Backlava every week. If you buy a bottle of wine you can try it. She drives a golf cart and feeds the ducks. Her son owns the property. They grow all the grapes here. Her mother came here to Ellis Island with her mandolin when she was 14. She is amazing. #doukenie Doukenie Winery #baklava
They won best tasting room last year. Cindy poured our tasting. She was very knowledgeable. The dessert wine is named after Hope. It is good!
