If you are up north take an hour and go visit a winery! They offer taste testings and spend time sharing the secrets of their wines. Rimon is special as the wine is from pomegranates making it both delicious and healthy. They also make great chocolate and cosmetics. Lovely way to spend an afternoon and the views to the north... We went to the winery as a side trip from Safed. It is only a 20-30 minute drive away. The unique thing about this winery is that all their wines are made from pomegranates. We had tasted one of their port style wines before and liked it so we decided to visit. Gal was our sommellier and he was wonderful.... More

Go and visit, it is one of a kind. The winery sells wines, lickers, ceramics describing pomegranates. You have interesting explanations, tasting and wonderful quality wines. We all loved the place. I bought a beautiful ceramic pomegranate for each of my children and boxes with wine and desert wines.

We went there with the sole purpose on trying the wines, did not know they offered a full tour with chocolates , bliss at 10 in the morning , and all in English We enjoyed ourselves very much and very cheap cost around £3.00 each, and of course we bought some wine .

Got a chance to experience a great taste of pomegranate wines. The history of the winery gets interesting after the second glass of wine :) but don't expect to remember a thing. Great place to buy some wine pretty expensive but worth it if you liked the wines. I recommend the Port.

We went to Rimon Winery on the spur of the moment and found that there was no tour that day. O.K., our fault for not checking ahead. There is a nice saleroom staffed, apparently, by a gum-chewing high school girl. She stayed on the phone with her boyfriend, planning their evening together. We heard the whole conversation. She ignored us... More
