Let me preface with if you are not an experienced rider, this may not be the place for you. The customer service was great and the horses are very well taken care of. Everyone was very kind and the facility was nice (I've been a few of the ranches in the area). This was my fourth horse ride -- meaning... More

Knowledgeable, friendly guides help to get the ride started quickly. The fine print advises to get there 30 minutes ahead of time. We missed that and got there at the start time and delayed the group a bit. Arrive early. Horses were all great. Only thing that would have made it better was more time (more $ of course) and... If you are reading anything less than a superior review on Fort Valley Ranch, you are reading reviews from amateurs. My sister and I recently returned from our second trip down to Fort Valley to ride in the George Washington National Forest. We have over 60 years of combined horse experience, and ride our own horses all over the state... More

We went for a 1.5 hour ride and it was incredible. Beautiful trail rides, beautiful horses, and knowledgeable guides. I highly recommend anyone visiting the Shenandoah area check our Fort Valley Ranch for a horseback ride.

We did the full-day trail ride up to the top of Peak Kennedy. It is a long ride but not a difficult one. 8 hours would be a very long time on a horse if you've never done it before, but if you have some experience you should find this leisurely, very easy, and well worth it for the scenery.... My husband and I took a half day trail ride to celebrate my birthday. While we love riding, we rarely get to do this so today was a major treat. The ranch was recommended by our innkeepers at Piney Hill B & B. When we arrived on site, I was impressed at the condition of the horses-they were all obviously... More
