Stopped here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised as we walked out with 3 bottles! Staff knew the wines very well and were very friendly and warm .. even after what seemed to be a very busy day. I would recommend this place the antipasto platter looked soooo good !! Very limited menu !! But next time I will... More

Wine was better this visit and we just loved the cheese platters. Also they could work more on the grounds of this property. It has so much potential. Could be really beautiful.

Today marks the second time I have brought friends to this venue to enjoy some wine and advertised "food platter". The first time was three weeks ago and upon arrival we were told that no food was available and that the venue was closing at 2PM so that "our case club members" could enjoy a "private" afternoon. I was surprised... More

Great Italian wine in Virginia. Each wine we tasted was surprisingly European. The location is set beautifully in mountains with a wonderful view.

Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, definitely a road less travelled. Beautiful setting and unique wines. Tastings are half the price of the more popular winery nearby. First time trying a dry red wine with a little fizz. Surprisingly good! They offer a lite fare and we had a plentiful cheese plate while playing bocce. Love small out of the... More

They have tastings of wine and olive oil with oven fired pizza and other weekend offerings. Sometimes entertainment.

Villa Appalaccia offers my favorite finds. It's not over populated with tourists, those that come are there for the savory exploration, views and Italian revelry. The Bocce court and italian style courtyard were favorites of ours.

This hidden gem is well worth the visit and was beyond impressed. The ambiance is an experience to Italy without the passport. The wines are amazing. Go for the reserve tasting. You won't have these wines anywhere else in the Virginia area. Get the cheeseboard too. It's a lunch and a half. We saw three other couples/families, including ourselves walk... More
