Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had family visiting and we drove from Daleville to Draper to see the mercantile and historical features of the area. Had lunch in their restaurant with 5 adults having salads or burgers, or barbecue, w/ drinks. Price came out $160 plus tip!
This is a marked increase from many previous visits down there! Looks like “get it while the gettings good” has arrived at the country store!!

Stopped in for my first time on a Saturday afternoon. They were very busy. They did seat us promptly. The staff was very friendly. It’s a neat little place with plenty of extras. Like shopping candy desserts. The food was really good a little on the pricey side, I would visit again.

Such an adorable place. Was pleasantly surprised. Stayed the night thru Harvest Hosts half way to Chattanooga. Where we camped was pretty and quiet. Went to the coffee house the next day. Thought it would be a small place with the normal coffee house offerings. We were so wrong. It was huge. Offered unique breakfasts. Mine was scrambled eggs with provolone, mozzarella, bacon and pesto with bread. It was good. Picky eaters may have to stick to the muffins. It used to be a general store. Lots of merchandise to look at. Also has a candy counter. Would definitely go again if it wasn't 5 hours away from us.

We had lunch and breakfast on two different days and were equally impressed with the quality and freshness of the food. Nothing super fancy but twists on standard meals that make for great plates , sandwiches and soups. While there, there is pleasant shopping available. We will try to stop there even when just passing by on I-81 as it’s only minutes off the highway.

My friends and I visited the Draper Mercantile for the first time yesterdau. We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious sandwiches and soup, and we enjoyed the shopping. The cappuchino from the coffee bar was as wonderful as the cappuccino I had in Italy!

Wanted a something a bit different for lunch and this place popped up. Yes, it a few minutes off the interstate but is totally worth it. Great sandwiches and service. Nice little bakery, coffee and chocolate sections in the historic building. Didn’t have the time to check out all of the offerings or the store next door but will definitely stop in next time traveling I-81.
Cute little area and it looks like it would be a great place to stay a weekend at some of the nearby rentals.
Do yourself a favor and take a couple of extra minutes to enjoy Draper’s!

Fun collection of decor and kitchen items and clothing, and a village coffee shop inside with excellent breakfast and coffee and bakery items that are hard to resist. Reviewed well by the Washington post

Not only is the atmosphere excellent for a quite meal but the food was exactly as I had hoped. It seemed like every place these days they may have been a little short staffed but it was so pleasant that it was nice to just sip some wonderful coffee and visit or look at the antiques while we waited.

Wonderful place for a home cooked meal. The staff is extremely helpful and go out of their way for you. They have a coffee bar. However, I only had regular coffee and it was very fresh.
They also have a store with all kinds of items. Be sure to check it all out after you eat.
The owner told me about their labyrinth down the road which I thoroughly enjoyed visiting. I hope to back before leaving this area.
One more tip, they rent bicycles. There is a New River path very close it adds to the whole small town feel of the area. Wonderful place to visit.

A wonderful hidden gem. We bought fresh local eggs, meat, jam and apple butter to bring back to our rented cottage. The staff is wonderful! Brian, Meghan and Molly took real good care of us. I told Brian I had Celiac Disease and have to eat a strict gluten free diet and he went and talked with the chef. I may have just had the best chicken pesto roasted pepper sandwich ever. She even grilled it in a skillet and not on the grill where other sandwiches are made. My husband loved the Coffee Bar. We plan to go again before we leave the area. Oh and the shops are adorable.

I am sure they do, but you would have to call them directly to make a reservation. It is such a wonderful place with great food and a band usually playing.
