Used to be the "Oyster Museum," but they've expanded the exhibits. Still focused on the local seafood industry, but a lot of interesting history. Nice collection of taxidermied waterfowl, too. I think the admission was $4/person (wasn't me that paid).

We always like to hit a museum of the places we visit. Very historic especially the changing culture and the unfortunate downfall of a bustling town at one time.

A quick stop on our way out of the refuge. It's a fairly small place , but contains some great stuff. Can't beat the $4 per person admission. A lot of information on the area, the lighthouse, the people, the horses and the town!

The parents were thankful that you have a small table up front for us to gather while our girls toured the small museum. The scavenger hunt is an excellent idea! All of our girls enjoyed it!

I visited the Museum as soon as they opened at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 and it was a beautiful sunny morning. Given the small size of the place, they cram a lot of informational displays here. I found it to be a...More
