We came in after hours but it was still daylight. When you pull in there are honor system envelopes to fill out and pay. We don't feel comfortable leaving cash or leaving cc info in a lock box so we just grabbed envelope filled it...More

Pocahontas State Park offers a variety of hiking trails. horseback riding, a lake, outdoor events at am amphitheater, festivals - many things to do and enjoy the out-of-doors. It is lovely.

I thought it was odd that they charge $5 to enter, but then I noticed how many neat things admission covers. There are dozens of trails, a lake with doc, a water park / pool, museums, gift shop, etc. It’s all beautiful and well kept....More
