We enjoyed the history associated with this place and the food was good, too! We liked the shepherd's pie and the Five Cheese Macaroni! Nice, homemade comfort food at a reasonable price.

“Why all the hype?”

Perhaps it is because we visited in the middle of summer, but this tavern was a ghost town. We were the only customers all night. At least we have the one guy working something to do. He was friendly. The beer list is extensive and impressive, but not all beers were available. The food was just okay. The service was fine as well, since we were the only ones there.
