A very historic location, a bit over priced but worth a visit, the history is amazing. The grounds are well preserved. Ample parking but a hike to the restrooms.

We've been living in the area for 10 years and we're now just checking this place out. Just driving up, you'll notice out gorgeous the grounds are. With a ticket, you're able to take a guided tour of the inside of the plantation. The family...More

Beautiful historic estate and property on the James River. The guided tour of the home was excellent and conducted by a very informative and pleasant gentleman.

This was our first stop in a visit to a series of plantations along the banks of the Charles River, about mid-way between Richmond and Williamsburg, VA. It's a good entry point, being the oldest plantation in Virginia, and also the only one that is...More
