Having read about numerous collection of plant and trees, visited this place on the last weekend of October to enjoy the colorful views offered by the trees and in particular Ginkgo grove at the Blandy experimental farm. It was very calm and chill with less...More

The arboretum has a good selection of trees and shrubs. If you like flowers and roses you will be disappointed. There are many walking paths and a nice size picnic area. The herb garden was nice and colorful, but in a poor spot next to...More

My husband & I stayed 4 nights at a nearby B&B, and drove over to the arboretum every morning for a walk. It was such a wonderful way to start the day. I especially loved the herb garden and community vegetable garden, which was a...More

The arboretum is such a versatile space. I have seen it used for arboretum events, engagement photos, hiking classes, and leisurely afternoon walks. I've found that peace and serenity you'll find is what attracts visitors from around our region. More recently, I visited the arboretum...More

We followed GPS while we were poking around in southern White Post VA, so we entered the Arboretum from a back entrance rather than realizing there was a main, paved entrance off US 50. I think I liked it better that way because we felt...More

I visit Blandy whenever I can. The landscape is always changing. The is a gingko grove where the leaves turn yellow in the fall. There are trees, bushes and flowers too numerous to mention. It's also a great place to take a walk.

If you like trees, birds, and flowers, this is the place. Acres of walking space, plus picnic grounds. Blissfully quiet during the week; all you can hear is birdsong. A surprising oasis off Route 50, of all places. Oh, and it's free.

It is one of those places that you drive by many times. I finally went in to see it. Compared to other arboretums, it is not much. It was not exactly as I expected, but it is still a nice and beautiful place to see,...More

My wife and I go to the Arboretum about once a month throughout the year. It's wonderful to see the changes in the trees, bushes during the 12 months. They have a very nice herb garden that identifies each herb plant. It's a great place...More

I would concur with the others' comments - it depends on the stroller and the weather. None of the paths are hard top, and after rain it can be quite muddy.
