We lucked out and got a nice spot. We had a lake view, very clean and maintained. Had a lots of people there, but they were nice and obeyed the rules. Dallas and his wife runs the place and they are very nice and helpful. Only problem is they are booked up forever.....but that tells you what type of place... More

My best friend & I took our kids (ages 10, 7, 5, & 2) to the swimming area & spent the day. It was very well kept, affordable, and sectioned off to keep the children away from the deep areas of the lake. Our kids always look forward to visits to Philpott Lake!

If you are into fishing and camping this is the place for you. It is like many of the campgrounds I have been to where the main activity is fishing. After the fishing the party atmosphere begins. Like others have said on weekends it is full with locals. Noticed during the day the locals had lots of visitors in their... More

More rain as we set up camp in the dark at Goose Point on Philpott Lake and dried out from the morning's storm 300 miles away. We awoke to a gorgeous lakefront campsite! It rained on and off throughout the day but we managed to get most things dry... and had a very productive hunting day at the Fairy Stone... More

This was our first time at Philpott Lake and we loved every minute of it! We stayed at the group campgrounds with friends from NC and VA. The air is much cooler here at this lake and the views are breathtaking! The lake is great for fishermen, boaters and those of us with PWC's. It is not very crowded, even... More

I recently spent a week camping at Goose Point on Philpott Dam Lake. It was absolutely beautiful. Imagine waking up each morning with the fire crackling while sipping on a cup of hot coffee & watching the sunrise over the lake. Soon the bacon, egg, & cheese sandwiches were ready. Having a camper made it easy to microwave Jimmy Dean... More

We went twice once in late fall and again in the spring. The overlook has an amazing view of the lake and dam. At the overlook there is a playground with picnic tables. Also an educational building to visit. The Dam is interesting and educational to see and visit. Its a great short day trip with the family.
