The Cheese Board is a local foods market in Windsor, Vermont that offers a wide selection of Vermont cheeses, cured meats, and all the provisional items to complete your spread. We were founded by America's only community owned dairy and creamery, Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company, who is creating an entirely new generation of unique farmstead and artisanal cheeses and has recently joined forces with Whitney's Castleton Crackers. We aim to foster local farming communities and each month we feature another Vermont cheese company and showcase all of their products in our shop. The Cheese Board also provides catered Cheese and Charcuterie Platters for any occasion, and will even rent out our own unique and beautiful boards for a refundable deposit. We also offer trade discounts on products and platters to local Caterers, Event Planners, and Bed and Breakfasts. If there is anything else we can do for you, just ask! Stop in for a daily grilled cheese sandwich on fresh baked bread from King Arthur Flour, or a wood-fired pizza served on 'The Porch' and in the garden May through October. We are located next to the Harpoon Brewery in the Artisans Park in Windsor, Vermont. Our other neighbors include the Path of Life Sculpture Garden, American Crated Spirits, Simon Pearce Glass and Great River Outfitters. Our regular store hours are 10:30am-6:00pm seven days a week, and we are open until 8:00pm Friday and Saturday.

Great samples of locally made cheese and crackers

Very friendly staff and wonderful selection of cheeses and crackers. We sampled about 6-8 different types and bought several of our favorites. Nice place to stop in and visit.

This place had such a great assortment of local cheeses, maple syrups, meats, crackers and snacks. It also had samples so you could try the different types of cheeses. We spent a good amount of time here deciding on what we wanted to get for our cheese plate we were making at the hotel we were staying at. I highly... More

Very friendly and helpful. Tasty as well! Located in same park as a brewpub and distillery. Well worth the stop.

This is a small locally owned store that we found because we went to the Harpoon Brewery for lunch and a tour. They have small containers of different cheese sitting around for your tasting pleasure as well as purchase! Stop in and take a look if in the area.

There were far more accompaniments than there was cheese which I thought odd considering it's the retail outlet for Vermont Farmstead Cheese. Also being the direct retail outlet for them, I was hoping the prices would be better than what I pay for the same cheese at a local specialty shop in MA. But, it's in a cute little village... More

Attractive small, eye pleasing shop with good variety, fair prices. The young woman offered to make an iced tea for me since they do not brew it, focusing on coffee beverages and cheese samplings. They opened at 10:30 which was a bit later than we had hoped, not much similar to visit in the immediate area, so a welcome stop.

The Cheese Board has great cheese and wine to taste. We stopped into taste the Vt cheese and wine. It was good and we bought some of each. They also have great ice cream. We bought some to sit outside and watch our granddaughter on the slides. The store makes a good pizza and sell other products that you need... More

Nice location close to other great shops. Small selection not nearly the variety in the picture. I stood at the counter trying to buy some cheese after 10 minutes of watching two employees walk back and forth ignoring me I put the cheeses back and left. We won't go back, plenty of great cheese places in Vermont don't waste your... More

Great little shop offering local cheese and wine samples. Cheese Farmers market the first Sunday of every month during the summer. Great pizza cooked in a pizza oven right on the porch. Ken Underwood of Sustainable Farmer runs this - great person!
