Went mountain biking here with my brother. I couldn’t help but to keep stopping only to take pictures. The trails were tough (for me) not skill wise but aerobic wise. (I live in south Florida.). There’s a lot of uphill before you can enjoy the...More

Ascutney is a hidden jewel, great VT location, great MTB trails! Lots of challenge, but also enough to keep the novice wanting to come back for more. It would be good to see more in the way of promotion for this great spot, which would...More

We did a run up/around an old ski area, quiet and pretty even in the rain. Hiking trails abound, turkeys are in the fields and trails in the area allow mt biking. The area screams New England postcard which is exactly what we wanted.

Lots of fun, very pretty. Some trails easier than others. A really nice observation tower. Trails well marked.

I visited the mountain and it was the first time I was going to try skiing. There was a resort near where I was staying so we made the drive up the mountain. The kids went and got skiing lessons and continued to play on...More

This is a great hike, parts of it can be a bit arduous but the payoff is so worth it. Fantastic views on a clear day. You will feel rewarded by the effort you made to get to the top. Well worth every step taken.

We drove up the mountain road and then hiked the path from the parking lot at the top. Because we were hiking with our three small dogs this was the most feasible option. We opted to take the “slab” rather than “slot” trail and it...More

We found this walk while planning our 50th wedding Anniversary from the UK. Having already visited the Windsor/Cornish covered Bridge, we were please to find that from the Overlook halfway up, we could look down on that Bridge. The walk at the summit was well...More

Having driven by hundreds of times, I took advantage of the unusually mild February weather and checked out the top. This isn't a huge mountain, but is right on the edge of the CT River valley so it has views way off to the East,...More

We were just there this past weekend and did the hike up to the summit with a whole gang of kids (the youngest to do her own hiking is 4), as well as a 7-months-pregnant lady. It was very doable for us, but there were lots... More
