According to the helpful one-person tourist office that now occupies the building, the museum closed about three years ago. All that remains of the museum are an old steam engine and caboose located out of doors. The overall rating is more "nonexistent" than "terrible".

nice exhibits but limited not crowded even on holiday weekend--everybody was at the lake.Got there later in the evening and went back the next day to see the outdoor exhibits in better light

We spent over a week there and had no idea it existed. We did enjoy the railroad station. More words needed here.

There was nothing to see at the museum. We also took the train ride which was terrible. The sights were horrible. One side of train you looked at people's back yards which most are trashed the other side was of a river. The diesel fumes...More

Got in as the receptionist said it was used as a store room. There was a single display board and a set of signal lights. That was it. Don't make a trip for that. Don't confuse this in any way with the Green Mountain train...More

We drove all the way there to find out that there was no staff and that the place was closed.
