We always enjoy stopping at the Vermont Country Store when we are in VT. We usually find something that we can't seem to be without- however, and this is the only "however"- a year ago I found a rack of women's gloves that were warm and feminine in design- sweet little bows on the wrists. When I arrived home and tried them on I was disappointed to find that the seams along the fingers were open, with the filling exposed. The following weekend we returned and I exchanged them, figuring that this was a one-off. Not quite. One of the items I ordered came quickly and I was satisfied with. The next item was overpriced for the quality. I waited for weeks for the other two items, never heard anything. Not worth the aggravation!…

It is surprising to me that items you thought were long gone, still exist! I know they have an online store as well, and I have to look for myself to know I can order the same things in person. It is a bit overpriced, but personally I didn’t mind spending the money on the nostalgic things I purchased. We were there on a Friday in October and it was not busy and we did not have to wait to get in the store. They do limit the number of people in the store, so there could be a wait. They have one entrance in, one exit out. You will enjoy yourself, so make sure you have enough time and money!…

We stopped in on a Tuesday morning in late October. The store was huge. It was just like walking through one of their catalogs, everything was on offer. We spent over an hour just looking around. We wish we could have took the whole store home. But just remember, quality products=high prices. …
