Curvy road! The history is very interesting and after a very short walk , you can see the cave that the smugglers used to stash the "goods". The cliff sides and boulders are very impressive.

WOW! Don't miss the drive. One of the highlights of the long day. Wish we had been early enough to ride the gondolas up the mountain but not so. It had rained all day so leaves not as nice as hoped but still good.

Why did I ever think that New England lacked beautiful scenery once you left Cape Cod and the rocky coast of Maine? Because I'd never been to the White Mountains in New Hampshire or the Green Mountains in Vermont. So here I am in Smugglers...More

My visit during fall was amazing. The fall colors are so beautiful. The drive down there is so wonderful experience. I had been down there twice during fall season and both trips are so unforgettable. I’ll love to visit it again.

Enjoyed this hike up to Sterling Pond, especially because we had hiking poles. The views at Sterling Pond and from the top of the ski runs and from the Long Trail made the uphill all worth it.

Fun to drive the notch--don't be scared by the warnings of great danger, sharp corners and massive boulders. Its not so bad, very well maintained and doesn't take nearly so long. We had a blast!

Spent a night camping at Smugglers Notch earlier this month and absolutely loved it. We had one of the walk-up tent sites and have not stopped raving about it since. In our camping experience, it is hard to find truly secluded, wooded campsites, but this...More
