We like going here because it provides a nice variation of altitude, terrain and privacy. It's got that extra altitude, up from Stowe that ensures the temperatures always a little bit colder, ensuring they will have snow when others don't. It's got some steeps, so be prepared for occasional speed.

Staff were very helpful and friendly here! Lots of trails, for all levels of experience, great map. Actual trails could use more "name" markers though. We went snowshoeing, using our own snowshoes (they have all kinds of equipment rentals though). We also wanted to cc ski, but we felt it was too icy for us to cross country ski after... More

This is my favorite nordic touring center in Stowe by far. The terrain is interesting and varied. You can ski along the river, along wide open areas or on the old classic trail. The staff are warm, inviting and knowledgable. The yurt is such a special place as well as the picnic tables in the little lodge where you can... More

We spent a wonderful morning skiing here while visiting Stowe. Despite the crowd (Sunday during a holiday weekend) we had no real issues with traffic on the trails. There is something for everyone of all ability.

We had perfect skiing conditions! The trails are groomed and well-marked and designed for all levels of ability. It never felt crowded and the staff is friendly. Take your own lunch though as there is very little food to purchase. Last year we had some awesome chili and were expecting it again, but they didn't make any. Just snacks available.... More

All of the cross country trails are well marked and groomed. The ski shop has all of the equipment you may need and has a professional staff.

Never enough time for Stowe's wonderful trails. Cold and windy in town and protected and delightful in the woods. Trails for all levels...just wonderful!

The touring center is gorgeous and with well prepared trails. You drive up to the Trapp Lodge (really a village) and well marked signs point you to the touring center. The trail maps are expansive and moderately well marked. (I would have liked to see a few green ribbons and blue ribbons on trees just to confirm you were in... More
