Known for our internationally recognized award-winning wines and inviting Tasting Room, Shelburne Vineyard's sustainably grown vineyard and winery are easily accessible on Rt. 7 in historic Shelburne VT, just 5 miles south of downtown Burlington. We'll welcome you to taste our wines, tour the vineyard and winery and we'll share the story of how we make fine wines in VT's cold climate. Spend an hour or an afternoon, enjoy a glass of wine with some local cheese on the Patio or in our cozy Loft and ask us about planning your own special event here. We promise a warm and friendly reception and discovery of some new favorite wines. We're open 7 days a week, all year, closed only on Christmas, New Year's and Thanksgiving Day. Hours are from 11-5 (Nov-April) and 11-6 (May-Oct).

We went for a tasking ($7 & keep your glass) and the person pouring for us was very friendly and knowledgeable. At the end, we decided to take a glass out to the patio. The wealther was great and the view beautiful. It was very comfortasble. Other people had bottles of wine with cheese and crackers. It looked like you... More

A friend and I stopped by Shelburne Vineyard a couple weeks ago and were so pleasantly surprised. I hadn't had Vermont wines in a long time and had thought of them as 'ok...for young, cold climate vineyards' - but boy has that changed. Shelburne especially has a wide variety of pleasant wines (red, rose and white) and is doing some... More

I'm so glad you came back to try VT wines again. There's been so much growth and expertise developed in the 17 years or so since vineyards and winemakinghave become feasible here in VT. We're really enjoying discovery of the potential of these cold climate grapes and just love to get the feedback that you appreciate what we're doing and... More

With weather not being conducive to skiing my daughter and I were exploring options for girl time in honor of my birthday. I am so glad my daughter discovered Shelburne Vineyard. With it being off season we could not tour the facility, but for a mere $7.00 each we tasted about a dozen different white and red wines. The Gal... More

We've been to so many california and European wine areas and are always pleasantly surprised to discover good wines in unexpected places. Shelburne Winery is definitely worth a stop. Focus on regional varietals and tour given by owner.

We took our friends to Shelburne Vineyard and decided on the excellently priced wine taster which only costs $7. For that sum you can sample up to 10 wines and keep the glass as a souvenir when you've finished. The wines were interesting and the assistant behind the bar had loads of personality. My girlfriend and I stopped in on our way to Burlington to try a couple of locally made wines. We were very impressed since you get to try all of the wines they have for $7 and get to keep a full size glass, not a tasting glass! We would highly recommend stopping in here to do a tasting/grab a... More

Stopped in on a Saturday and it was quite busy. The wine was mostly ok. We've been spoiled with some lovely vineyards in RI and CT with higher quality wines than these. We did have fun. The pourer was knowledgeable and it was a good value. And, of course, there is the brewery right across the street...Fiddlehead Brewing Company!

Location and property is nice. Cool ambiance and places to sit. Service was average...a little slow and hardly any conversation or info about the wine...I felt they didn't want to be bothered. Wines were just average...I preferred Lincoln peak more towards Middlebury. Good value though... $7 to taste 10 wines plus the souvenir glass to take home with you!

Lovely spot to stop and relax and taste. The wines are made from grapes developed for the very cold winters however we found them disappointing. Not enough fruit nor depth. Perhaps in time they will develop further. Interesting though to taste how the climate effects grapes and the wine. I think most of the grapes are coming from New York... More

We're glad you enjoyed your visit with us. I do want to let you know that most (about 70%) of our wines are in fact made from our own grapes grown right here on the almost 17 acres of grapes we produce here at our Tasting Room site and on the two other sites we grow within 5 miles of... More
