The Montshire is an award-winning hands-on science museum. You'll experience over 140 exciting exhibits relating to the natural and physical sciences, ecology, and technology. As a 110-acre museum on the Connecticut River, there's always plenty to explore, both indoors and out! Open daily 10-5. Summer Admission (May 17-September 7) $16 for adults, $13 for children 2-17. Regular Admission: $14 for adults, $11 for children 2-17 Two day passes available. Free for members and children under 2 years of age. Water exhibits in outdoor Science Park are on mid-May through early October.

Lots to do here! We enjoyed the indoor interactive exhibits very much. The outdoor walking trails are not to be missed. Very fun and overall a great way to spend 1/2 a day while in the area.

I found a few interesting exhibits but I felt a lot of the museum was geared more towards children than adults. We did like the ant farm and the aquariums. I also liked the moose. I think I'm more of an art than science museum...More

One can send hours with any age child. The exhibits are engaging and interactive. My granddaughter never tires of going.

Thanks for you review. We are delighted you enjoyed your visit. Just to clarify, the Museum's nature trails are for walking and snowshoeing only. We don't allow bikes or pets. Thanks again

To be fair, this museum would no doubt be 5 stars for families with young children. I am only offering 3 stars because the woman at the front desk should have been more honest about stating it was not a good fit for our 10...More

Always love to visit the Montshire, especially with our grandchildren who cover every inch and never tire of partaking. The current music exhibit on the second floor is stunning.

Always something new going on at the Montshire. Call ahead and see what exhibits or events they have. They do winter and summer events. If you live locally and have young kids a membership is well worth it.

Loads of fun to go and hang out. Can get crowded at times. But for the most part if you skip the high rush hour. Tons of fun. Can spend couple of hours there. On a good sunny day you can head out back. Tons...More

My apologies for not responding sooner—somehow this is the first time I saw your questions. Yes, we do have a wheelchair available for use. The first two floors are accessible as are some of the trails. Thanks again
