Stopped in when passing through and we're glad we did. The pumpkin muffin was delicious and light, as was the cherry cake slice. Nice outlook across the lake

This doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside, they have all the items a general store would have along with all the things you would see in a souvenir shop. Huge inside with lots to poke through. They also have a café/deli in...More

North Hero isn't a big town so stop here on your way in to get whatever you may need! The store is bigger than it appears from the outside. They offer sandwiches made fresh (there are a couple of seats inside but you can take...More

We drove here after taking the ferry from Plattsburgh. Old general store that is reminiscent of a simpler time. Lots of trinkets, food products, and Vermont staples for sale. Highlight was ordering lunch, then walking across the street to eat at picnic tables with outstanding...More

Hero’s Welcome, a stone’s throw from Lake Champlain, is a memorable general store. The variety of goods and services it offers is extraordinary: food, wine, clothing, books, toys, maps, photos, kitchenware, greeting cards, toiletries – you name it, and they probably sell it. They also...More

This place has everything you need. Groceries, clothes, dishes, games, linens, camping stuff, and great sandwiches. The sandwiches and pastries are fabulous, the coffee is good, and there is so much to look at. What a fun store!
