Good for an overview of Vermont tourist options. Staff very helpful. I needed info on hiking Camel's Hump and they photocopied a map of trails with descriptions. Plenty of parking in back for free. Worth a visit.

The ride up to Camel's Hump State Park is a hoot-the mountain itself is a challenge to the great vertical relief and steepness of the upper ridges. Still, well worth the trip.

Desk personnel know Montpelier well and can expertly direct you to your destination. The information bookshelves and map racks are well organized and nicely stacked. Rooms are clean, well-lighted and bright. Service is swift and efficient. Overall a pleasant experience.

We visited Montepelier during our visit to Vermont in September. The staff recommended nearby shops for pottery and art work. There were fresh apples for all the visitors! The beautiful State House is across the street and beautiful on this fall day. A most enjoyable place to visit.

Montpelier is such a great little town. Make sure you go in the state house it is just gorgeous. Shopping is fun in the independently owned stores, The toy store is great as well as the book store. The New England Culinary Institute is located here too.
