This store has been in Manchester as long as I can remember. It is large but feels small when shopping. They sponsor lectures and still have book signings. It is what a book store should be, informative, fun and part of the community. Also, it even has an attached snack/lunch area where you can sit and have a quick fresh,... More

If you have a love of books you must visit this shop. I could have spent hours here. Fabulous greeting card section too and beautiful stationary.

If you are near Manchester, VT, do not miss this bookstore. Our hotel suggested that we visit the Northshire Bookstore and I'm glad we did. As privately owned bookstores are shutting down, it is a treat to find such a large, well-stocked bookstore with knowledgeable staff and a nice cafe. The children's floor is pretty amazing. There's plenty of parking,... More

This book store is exceptionally unique and they offer thousands of books and gifts. The staff is very willing to help and the store even orders books you may be searching for. They have books from almost every author readily available , they even have a self publishing book printer on site. They offer books, CDs, movies, clothing, posters, journals.... More

I just love privately owned bookstores and this one didn't disappoint! Many cute cubby areas and great book choices. I particularly liked the children's section and was able to find signed copies.

The Northshire is one of the locations in Manchester that we always go to. For those of you who are Grandparents, the children's floor is fantastic! There is a small coffee shop in there and an area to sit and relax, plenty of tables too! It is not like the big open chain bookstores, it has lots of cozy little... More

Whether you want to browse, shop or read, Northshire bookstore is the place for all ages! Everything about this store is exceptional - from its location to its selection, it's staff to its atmosphere. They welcome anyone on two feet with open arms, and even four feet if properly behaved.
