Norhshire Bookstore is a treasure to the community. It is a great place to find your next book. The booksellers are well read and experts, and great at giving advice. The store also functions as a community center for the whole region. This store is worth a trip.

I have been coming to southern VT for years. Every time I stop into Northshire Bookstore. It is a wonderful independently owned shop that is truly dedicated to the experience of reading. The children's section is beautiful and a great escape!

This wonderful rambling classic old fashioned book store is almost more of an event then just a store. There are shelves and shelves of books, so fun to wander in, everyone will find some interests of theirs entertained-whether it's camping, history, cooking, football, politics, travel, anything and everything. There is also a whole floor of kids toys, books, and projects... More

Lovely bookstore in the heart of Manchester, Vermont. This has something for everyone even beyond their fantastic book selection for all tastes and all ages. They have an extensive gift shop, cards, toys, and Vermont gifts. The Spiral Press is their coffee shoppe that has all kinds of tasty treats, sandwiches, soups, and fancy coffees. They also have authors pop... More

A good book store is a great haven; NB rocks it. A plentiful selection of books and accouterments, enough to keep a professional browser occupied for a fortnight. The staff eagerly awaits serving the bibliophile. This exceeds any online shopping by a vast margin. We shall be back.

Could have spent all day in here exploring the books and enjoying attached coffee shop. Calm and well kept. Knowledgeable staff. Delicious baked goods.

The bookstore offers a nice selection altough it a bit crammed. The staff walks in front of customers browsing the shelves without really apologizing. I asked to a staff member if the bookstore has a geopolitic section and he made me repeat the question two or three times. He clearly had no clue what geopolitic even was. He looked at... More

My daughter and I love this place. There are three floors and a café attached with a large room with tables so you can sit and have a bite to eat. Lots of lovely books, gift items, and a children's section on the third floor with toys, stuffed animals, puzzles & free gift wrapping if you want it. Well worth... More

I went in looking for a book on Vermont in general and Marble in particular and the wait staff could not have been more helpful. They not only gave me multiple titles to explore, but brought me to the section of the bookstore where they are housed. This is a great place to just wander and pick up whatever interests... More
