13 members of my family, (Age 3 - 60), were there July 16, 2017, it was amazing. Would have loved to have been able to spend more time there. Nice little hike from. Would definitely do this again, and bring a picnic lunch with us....More

Very nice falls just off the road. There are three falls very short distance from each other ( lower, middle, upper) and plenty of options for a quick dip. Only issue I see with this is if you have kids is as usual with these...More

The falls were very easy to hike. They had different levels where you could swim and jump from the cliff. We had kids ranging from 9-17 in our group and they all had fun.

This a lovely spot close to Ludlow and easily hikeable in an hour or two. Surprise-able in its seeming remoteness yet right off the road. Bring your trunks and bath in the pools then sun on the rocks. Avoid going in black fly season (May/June)...More

Great little falls and one can wade and swim around the area. It does get crowded but worth a trip to see.

Nothing more beautiful than hiking the falls. Wear grippy water shoes and take your time. Go slow. A t-shirt or wet suit shirt is good even in hot wether as this water is ICEY. Great for dogs! Bring a towel and leave your phone and...More

This was a pleasant surprise. There are 3 falls and all of em are worth going to. It is a quick ride if your are in the Ludlow area and something to do. Great photos

we enjoyed our hike into buttermilk falls, found the lower falls easy, then walked up to see the upper falls, could not find them or they weren't running, but the hike was interesting saw a quite a few washed out roads and bridges

One of the best natural spots in VT. If you like climbing and jumping off of rocks, do not miss this spot. It has many levels of falls and swimming areas. Not to be missed.

Stopped by here while staying in Ludlow. It was an easy walk/hike to one of the waterfall spots. The view was great and relaxing. A great short trip.

I saw a few dogs out there. We even petted a few. I don't know if there was a rule against it or not, don't see why there would be.

It's not really a picnic destination. Better to hike the falls and then drive 5 minutes to Okemo mountain and picnic on the slopes. In fact, if you want to have a picnic/hiking day, drive to the top of the clock tower base... More
