This place is a magical place, which is not that widely known. The lake is pristine and well hidden from the crowds, perfect for a family to get away and canoe, kayak, swim, and enjoy. There will be loons which are hard to find but we can see at least a few. In the night they make beautiful sounds. There... More

Our 20-25 member family has been coming to Maidstone for 4 years now and we have no intention of stopping. The setting is beautiful...pristine, warm lake, the loons calling at night, private camping sites w/just the right mix of sun and shade. There's 3 beaches and if you're lucky enough to have a site on the lake front (which we... More

My family and I have camped at Maidstone every summer since my sister and I were babies, and my dad camped here with his family too. We've camped elsewhere, but Maidstone always draws us back because of its beauty, tranquility, and the special place it's found in our hearts. The lake is pristine and beautiful and perfect for swimming (no... More

Maidstone was great. Our group of five loved the park, which was beautiful and well-maintained. Park Manager Tom Walsh really made our stay there wonderful. The loons were beautiful and swam past our waterfront lean-to on many occasions. Truly a memorable weekend!

We had a great time camping for a weekend here. The campsite was clean when we arrived and we had a beautiful view of the lake. The staff was friendly and helpful - shout out to Tom! I would highly reccommend this spot!

Loved this park! Beautiful, clean, warm lake! Waking up and going to sleep to the sounds of the loons was amazing. Walked pretty trails around the park. Quite hours are taken seriously and we really appreciated that. The camping areas are very well taken care of, everything was nice and clean. Will definitely visit again!!

This was my 26th year of camping at Maidstone....and once again it exceeded all of our expectations. The park this year was exceptionally clean, the staff very friendly and service oriented. The staff is outstanding at creating a safe, quiet environment in which to enjoy all of the beauty that is Maidstone. The addition of internet availability in the past... More

My friend and I decided to get away for a few days. We picked Maidstone at random and couldn't be happier with our choice. Booking and checking in/out was very easy, Ranger Tom was very helpful! Firewood and ice on the campground was incredibly convenient. Our site was #4, right on the water with a way to go swimming right... More

This is the 3rd year we have camped in 3 new-to-us VT SP. Maidstone is the FIRST to have pristine water. No Milfoil! Last week visibility was 39'. (I enjoy snorkeling and swimming) Ranger Tom Walsh is happy to share this info and has guests well-being and the well-being of all the park as a personal goal. Maidstone is definitely... More
