We visited New England region at the end of September, 2018 and we were made aware that the fall foliage was about a week late this year. After some soul searching, we headed out to Lake Willoughby to try our luck. Drove on the VT...More

There are several options: Willouhvale Inn offers lake front cottages as well as rooms in the inn. Lovely place overlooking lake, with dining room and bar. There are some vintage cabins at Bill and Billie’s, on the lakeshore, pretty rustic and basic but fun.
Many individuals rent their seasonal homes. I would steer clear of the north end of the lake where the public beach is, it gets pretty busy there in the summer!
