We were in the area just for a couple of days and so couldn't be picky about the weather. We went on a beautiful winter day with lot's of snow falling. The snow was lovely yet underneath the path was covered in ice patches and so we couldn't go up very high. The path is a bit steep but goes... More

I love mount philo. I consider it my treadmill. My only complaint is having to pay for it as a charlotte resident. I think charlottes should go for free, or cheaper.

For a short amount of time and little effort, this hike has alot to offer. No snow at the top and on a clear day like today it's worth your little time. If you have free time, this hike is doable for families, kids, dogs, or even avid hikers who might not have all day for a huge hike. Glad... More

Yes, they drive cars to the top but the small hike up on the very well maintained trails is a lot of fun for kids, and adults. It's not a long hike, but the views from the top make it seem like you are on top of a major mountain. The views across the farm land, lake Champlain and into... More

Great spot for a smal hike with the bonus of a great view. On the top there is a nice place for picnics and relaxing. It's also possible to drive to the top.

Many ways to ascend the hill . By the road or by an easy trail up the side. When you reach the top , the view is wonderful . Vermont at its best . Picnic tables and a shelter on top .

I think just about anybody could do the Mount Philo hike. It's a very family friendly area and the trail is well marked and fairly easy. The views from the top or rather amazing for such a small mountain so it's well worth the hike to the top. If for some reason you can't do the hike you can always... More

Mt. Philo is a beautiful park with amazing views from the top. It's a great hike to the top and when you reach the top you are rewarded with breathtaking views of the valley! There is ample parking and the trail is clearly marked.

Didnt hike, we were lazy and took the road to the top by car. Lovely views of lake and mountains, nice breeze on a very hot day. Some nice comfy loungers available if its not busy. No food or drinks for sale. Just picnic areas, toilets/restrooms and water fountain.
