I've ridden this trail maybe 100 times as a former resident decades ago, and now occasional visitor. Sometimes crowded. Sometimes buggy. Weather is often poor (this is VT). But when the weather is right, it is simply wonderful, and sometimes sublime. Ride it at sunset and watch Lake Champlain turn to orange soda with the Adirondacks in the background. Satisfaction... A few minutes walk from your hotels facing the lake. At the entrance of the trail rent a bicycle for your self, spouse and small children too. It has 8 miles of paved path running through many residential neighborhoods and is situated close to several commercial districts.

The Bike path is well maintained and the views were awesome. It passes by the Hilton Downtown and their are a variety of shops, food outlets, restaurants, ice cream parlor etc. Church street is a few blocks away and private parking is available next to the Hilton.

Such a great attraction. Been using the bike path for years. Gotten a little rough for in-line skating, but still great for biking or running. Nice beaches at various points to enjoy.

The Burlington Bike Path is beautiful and accessible running along the shores of Lake Champlain to the Colchester Causeway and beyond. For less traffic stick to the week days. Summer weekends on the Path are quite busy. One needs to keep ones wits to navigate bike and pedestrians. Overall the Path presents a beautiful place for exercise and solitude. Burlington... More

We rented bikes nearby and enjoyed the bike path on a beautiful autumn day. There was construction for part of it but other than that it was nice to do.

If you're coming here in November, it very, very cold and windy. Maybe not all days but it was when we came here on November 1st. The bike path is great. We walked along it for a little bit until my ears feel like it's going to fall off and my contact lenses were peeling off my eyeballs. It would... More

We traveled up to Burlington just to do the bike path after seeing it on the Chronicle TV show. It exceeded our expectations. There are areas that the trail could use some work but overall it's not that bad. There is a detour where the trail is blocked and it's not marked well, but a map will help figure it... More

Bring your own bike of rent one from Ski Rack or Local Motion and ride the bike path. Enjoy the beautiful views and treat yourself to a creamee at Bay side Deli or the creamee stand neat the path.
