Stopped here when in town for the big summer craft festival, the works are very nice but it is not a place to find bargains. Nice place to stop if you like pottery.

During this self-guided tour, visitors have an opportunity to visit with the potters and ask questions about their work. The gift shop is absolutely fabulous, offering a wide variety of items made by the potters as well as numerous other items.

I sometimes make a trip to Bennington just to visit this factory and shop. There are always new pieces on display as well as seasonal and holiday specials and seconds on sale. A fun place to be.

Long established pottery, with several different patterns. The shop also offers prepared foods like maple syrup and jellies and jams. Wide selection of housewares.

Some of the dinnerware was pretty but the price was too high compared to other potters we've been to in New England. I've found beautiful pottery pieces that I like better and at a more affordable price elsewhere.

It's still an experience, but the place has really changed. What used to be all handmade Vermont pottery is now largely imports.

All American made. Excellent quality. Be sure to tour factory in back of store where all pottery is made. Perfect thing to do to get a taste of Vermont. Day trip from vaca in Lenox, Mass.

The showing room was filled with not only many sets of pottery, but household items of various sorts, things to use and decorate kitchens, dining rooms, and living rooms. More spacious than a Pier One Imports and more friendly. Even a resident cat. It looks...More

I used to love Bennington Potters in the 70' s 80's and even the 90's. Due to fires and the changing times the personality of the store has greatly changed, the prices have increased significantly. It is still a nice place to stop and wander...More

Hi Andrew, We do not offer any option where you would be able to paint your own pottery. If you are in the area stop in though to see the Potters making our pottery, and check out the Store here at Potters Yard!
