A great place to stop for a few hours. Very active place with various art shows and competitions coming and going. Check their website to see what is there. Staff is great and will stop to talk to you about the art. It is one of our regular stops when we are in the area.

Their collection was more than we expected and nicely presented. Bridges brought us to see it and yet the other collections were captivating and worth the stop alone. Agree with the others comments about paintings and one hour being too little for such a fine museum.

This is a beautifully displayed art center featuring all art media and an extensive Native American collection of art. Well worth the stop. We would definitely come again when we are in the area.

My main purpose was to see the replicas of barns and covered bridges that were made and I was so impressed with them (bucket list was to go over and photograph all of the covered bridges in Vt. which I accomplished the summer of 2015 - 169 of them; I know there are a few very small privately owned ones... Wonderful gallery offerings were open when we visited. The various presentations of the art works were absolutely "stellar". This Center is a wonderful GEM, and is well worth your time!! We thought it would be a nice hour of interest. HA...we were "captivated" for 3 hours. The highlight for us was a beautiful portrait of a young American Indian girl...who... More

Excellent Museum! Stunning collection and brilliant special exhibits. We went to an event that was held at the Museum (otherwise would not have gone) and were so pleasantly surprised.

We were particularly interested in the covered bridge section, which was nicely done, and were very pleased to find the Native American gallery which had some great pieces on exhibit. Highly recommend a stop here if you are in this area

Our second time here. This time we skipped the covered bridge section and stuck to the arts section. Enjoyed the fine works very much. See the website for current exhibitions. Well worth $9 for a couple of hours of fine and interesting art.

Bruce usually writes but I'm his wife......Thoroughly enjoyed the variety of galleries to view. Went to see the covered bridge exhibit and the carved birds, both were very good. In addition saw art, sculptures, quilts, hat boxes, miniature rooms etc. I'm wheelchair bound but all levels were accessible via small open lift. Well carpeted throughout which my husband told me... A great collection of art - modern, old and ethnic. Enjoyed the Bob Kuhn wildlife collection. The museum also has the Covered Bridges Museum with an interesting video,,images and anecdotes.
