You can see this monument for several miles as you head into Bennington. You buy a ticket at the shop across the street and then can take an elevator to the top for 360 degree views if the area. There are also two smaller statues...More

It was an enjoyable visit. The view from the top is nice. The history about the monument is interesting. You no longer can go by steps. You must take the elevator, which was fine with me. The area and Vermont in general is so beautiful,...More

If you want to visit somewhere that has both a strong link to the Revolutionary War and can provide spectacular 360 degree views of New York, Massachusetts and Vermont then look no further!

Looked impressive. The giant structure surrounded by trees and a park. Opportunity to take beautiful picture with the surrounding fall colours. Missed the chance to take the elevator to go up. A place worth visiting.

Really outstanding monument standing on the hill. Missed the time for elevator to the top but the outside looking also worth a visit.

You need to pay $5 to take the elevator to the top, which we both did. However, once you get to the top, you can only see through the "slits" of the monument. We had beautiful weather but without more of an observation platform, the...More
