Very cool place. Worth the charge to the top. Go to the gift shop and pay the $5 for the elevator trip. Once on top the 360 degree view is well marked so you can identify the different Mountain ranges. Very friendly and knowledgeable lady...More

We (dad and two teen sons) stopped by here as part of our afternoon sightseeing tour. Gift shop and elevator were closed, but we enjoyed walking the grounds and reading the historical markers. Worth stopping.

I can tell you that exhibit at the bottom is not much to get excited about. I imagine that the observation view would have been nice if the elevator had been working. I do give the cudos for safety however.

What a view! Friendly and knowledgeable elevator operator. You can see almost forever - well to New York anyway.

Great views and photographic opportunities but you must pay to go to the top of the monument and unlike the what the brochure say, you can no longer walk up the stair as the brochures say you can.

While my wife and I found it very interesting, our teens were bored. Certainly worth a trip if you are within 30 minutes by car. A lot of history here and the monument is well-preserved.

What's really nice is that this tower has an elevator and climbing steps are not an option. The admission was $5 which might be a bit pricey, but the elevator operator was knowledgeable and provided some information on the monument. There are also panels on...More

This is a very interesting place to visit! For $3 you can go up in the monument by elevator and have a panoramic view of the area. The artifacts and history posted inside are very different than going to a museum- love the hanging cooking...More
