I just went to the visitor center and watched the video on the history of the company. Didn't realize most of their business was making cemetary monuments, which was a little creepy. Didn't feel like waitin another hour for the quarry tour, so was a little disappointed.

I saw this when looking for something to see when passing through town so we stopped to look around. We were to late for the quarry tour but the very short and free factory tour was good as well as the film in the visitor center. Good stop and you can get a free sample as well.

Both the Visitor Center and Quarry visit are excellent. Even the Gift Shop is above average. Informative movie whets your curiosity. The visit to the Quarry itself is awe inspiring. Had the best tour guide ever. Full of interesting facts and answered many off the wall questions from different people.

I have been here multiple times and it has always been interesting. Due to it being an active quarry it is ever changing. Seems different every time I have been. I have gone with different groups of teens with exchanges from other states and it's interesting for them as well as us. I would recommend a visit if you have... More

This fully union site is a great place to visit -- a bus to the quarry which is hundreds of feet deep. A self-guided tour of the granite carving shed. A good background film in the visitor's center.

We decided upon visiting the Rock of Ages after a few disappointing stops on the Vermont Cheese Trail (don't bother). We arrived in time for the last tour which was unfortunate because the workmen in the monument factory were done for the day. However, we did get to see the quarry and had a great education provided by our guide... More

The Rock of Ages plant and quarry tour is great. Start out at the gift shop where you watch a short video in their little theatre, purchase your tour tickets for guided quarry tour tickets are priced as follows: $6.00 per adult, $5.50 per senior (62+), $2.75 per child (6-13); children under 6 are admitted for free if they ride... This is both a visitors center and they hold a tour of one of the active quarries. This is quite a site to see in the fall when the leaves are in bloom.
