Prepare to be wowed!

Every time I visit Spring city, I have to stop in to Horseshoe Mountain pottery. They have beautiful beautiful items for purchase. Always a good deal for the quality! The most compliments I get in my kitchenware in Salt Lake City are my pieces from Horseshoe Mountain.

I love to come to Joe’s shop and it is even better to come when he is there or during his holiday sales events because he is certainly part of the appeal. His pottery is well made and beautiful. There is more variety during his sales but there is usually something in the shop if you just stop in. We came down this time for “Mom’s stuff” which is also great. But of course, as usual, ended up with another one of his pots as well. Thanks Joe, it is always a pleasure.

Great local artisan
Nov. 2017
We stopped in on our visit to Spring City (let's be honest, there's not much else!). Very small shop/studio, but lots of items on display and for sale, in a broad range of prices. Left with a nice lidded bread baking dish for about $40.

Pots with Joe

Had a great time visiting with Joe Benion at Snow College. His class at summer snow college was amazing. His shop has a variety of fabulous wood fired pots. Each piece a one of a kind because of the way they were fired. Joe is a great artists and craftsman.

Actually we went in for the product made by Mrs. Bennion, this awesome salve called "Mom's Stuff". BTW the pottery in the store front is half off.

Very small pottery with just a few very expensive items on display
May 2015 • Couples
We always like to bring some kitchen materials back to Holland as a memory of our vacation. We stopped here after a long walk through the village and had high hopes. Unfortunatelly we came when nobody was there. The pottery that was displayed didn't have any attractive colors for me and to be honest, even with the "half off price" were still quite expensive. Maybe when the owner is present the experience will be a better one. sorry...

Very nice pottery shop in the middle of rural Utah
Feb. 2014 • Family
This shop is open with pots to sell but usually no one is there! You make a selection (& the price is 50% off retail because the potter doesn't have to ship it to you) and put your check or cash in the metal box. That's IT! And the pottery is wonderful, earthy stuff you can use at home.
Check out their website to see if you like the style. The town itself is very small.
i haven't been there in years, but they are still in business.
