We spent a Saturday afternoon touring this restored home of an early founder of Santa Clara. It was fun to hear about the Man Jacob Hamlin and how instrumental he was with the local settlers relationships with the native americans.

Great historical site. Jacob Hamblin was an early pioneer settler and a friend to the Natives. His home shows how they adapted to the extreme climates of the area.

Great example of an early house in Utah. The tour was interesting and the guides were welcoming. Glad we made this stop.

True to the past this place reminds us of great service to others. Service missionary's share some of Jacobs past history. Which includes stories of Indians, travelers, traders and fellow friends. If your passing through, don't miss it! Tours don't take long.

The tour guide sang a song he had written that told the history of Jacob Hamblin. It was much more interesting and memorable than if he had just told the story. Jacob Hamblin's story shows the perseverance and grit of the early western settlers. There is no charge for visiting.

I guess if you are entrenched in early Mormon history you might find this spot of value. I found it to be a rather dull little location. A traveler to this area might be more impressed with a drive or hike through Snow Canyon which is near the Hamblin Home. I live in St. George and entertain out of state... More

My son-in-law is Mormon as it most of the town. The couple (missionaries) who gave us the tour were very informative. It was very interesting to hear about how Jacob Hamblin came to St. George. There were many struggles and it is amazing to learn how the pioneers persevered.

A bit boring...I don't know if it was because I had a toddler with me but I doubt it though cause we had visited other homes and she did fine. But here the talking went on forever and the showing was minimal. It seemed you could tour the place in about 5 minutes but they spoke a lot and dragged... More
