I come here all of the time and the little kids and teenaged love exploring. It's good for photo shoots, hiking, picnics and just enjoying a sunset.

Had a nice time exploring this park. My kids enjoyed climbing on and around the rocks. I highly recommend going early in the day if you are there in the summer. It gets seriously hot!

We sought out this park for a little R&R, and enjoyed the visit. We strolled through the stunning rocks and fields of desert flowers and vegetation, and did a bit of scrambling. The view over the city is stunning, and the amenities clean and functional....More

You can choose to take a long hike around the hills or just a short one. The scenery is gorgeous! We hiked with our children and grandchildren as young as 2 years old who got around really well. We stopped in the shade of some...More

What a beautiful local park!! It's like you are in a state park. Red rock formations everywhere to climb, narrow slots to see, small arches. Don't forget to look for the pioneer house built into the rocks. It's over by the Dixie sugarloaf rock area.

My kids (7 and 5) had a blast climbing and exploring. There were places that caution need to be used. The jail was also cool to see.

What a nice park. We were looking for high ground to watch the sunset and stumbled on this little jewel. It was like being on Mars - the red planet. We watched people practice rock climbing - good idea! Make sure you have the correct...More

Hi, Hope this response is in time for your visit. The trails in the park are wide open and easy to go where you want. I think you and the kids would enjoy spending some time there.

Hello. I understand that you have fire pits at Pioneer Park. We are planning a trip to St. George from 12/24 to 01/01/2017 and wonder if we can have a fire and if so what are the rules and regulations concerning a fire. We did ask this question a few weeks ago but got no answer. We are coming a very very long way from South Florida and would like to put this park on our itinerary. Can you please share this info with us. Thanks in advance.

There's a fire pit in the pavilion, but I've not seen it used. We haven't been there at night
