Presently under renovation. This historic building gives tours and has many activities weekly. The locals go there often for the activities. A great place for visitors to take in the mostly musical arts and verbal presentations many dealing with local history.

Unlike the temple, we were permitted in the tabernacle & given a tour by an LDS member, who was serving on a mission. She was very well informed & thorough.

Historic LDS (Mormon) Tabernacle. No admission charge. You may just go in and visit, or wait for a guided tour. You may wish to visit the LDS (Mormon) St George Temple as well. Nice visiting center there.

I did not know before hand that the Tabernacle was closed for repairs so we were sadly disappointed when we arrived at the location only to see scaffolds and fencing around the entire building. Would have liked to do the tour.

My husband and I visited St. George sans kids and decided to hit the historic sites. The tabernacle is a FREE historic site that is still used for concerts and speakers. I wished we had planned ahead and checked the performance calendar. We just popped...More
