Traveled north from St. George to visit the dinosaur footprints. Saw peregrine falcons soaring through the wind at the gap. Wind was quite high coming through the gap. Enjoyed seeing the native American artwork in the varnish on both sides of the road. Later saw...More

We spent three weeks travelling around Utah looking at pictographs/petroglyphs, ruins, dino tracks, and the great scenery. This site was exceptional in terms of petroglyphs. Highly recommended!!

We were given a phamplet at the visitor center. We drove the ten scenic miles to the Petroglyphs It was a very easy walk to see them. The area was very well maintained and informative with signs explaining the petroglyphs.

Remote but with a car about half an hour from Cedar City. The information is helpfull. You can walk the path and see the petroglyphs. When want to fotograph them a standard camera is good enough, for some petroglyphs a zoom lens is better.

The rock art at Parowan gap is amazing and worth the short trip off the highway. All panels are easily accessed on easy flat paths. This is a desert so be sure to bring water.

This is a pretty big set of petroglyphs I must say it was awesome to look at it. I do wish you could get closer to them, but of course then they probably would be ruined. Directly off the road no hike, if you have...More
