If you can climb a ladder, you can climb the Mount Ogden Via Ferrata!...

If you can climb a ladder, you can climb the Mount Ogden Via Ferrata! You're always attached to the safety cable. No ropes or knots required. Via Ferrata (Italian for "iron road") is a mountain-climbing method that lets less experienced climbers enjoy views and adrenaline rush usually reserved for elite climbers. Conceived during World War I, via ferrata allowed Italian soldiers from the flatlands to move quickly through the mountains as they fought the Austrians for higher ground. Today there are over 500 via ferrata climbing routes in Europe, enjoyed by locals and tourists alike, ages 8 to 80. The "iron road" is now available in Utah with the Mount Ogden Via Ferrata.

We were looking for something adventurous to do for our 19th wedding anniversary. We found Utah Adventure Center and did both the zip line and Via Ferrata. Such a great, different than anything we've ever done, experience. We enjoyed the hike, the beautiful views of the waterfall and Ogden and being able to experience rock climbing without needing to be... More

I've never been rock climbing before and I'm not very strong, so I was tickled to be able to do this. Getting to the top of the route felt like a great accomplishment. It wasn't that hard while I was doing it, but my muscles were really sore afterward. Our guide Ian was laid-back yet safety-conscious. Views are stunning. We... More

Breathtaking views. Lots of variety for climbers, kids and all in between. The waterfall was cool and overhangs challenging. You can use the rungs or free climb. Very cool day.

I have a few decades of rock climbing experience, so I wasn't sure if this would be worth the money. However, my 11-year old son and I were in Ogden, and it seemed like a fun and unique activity. My son, who has been top roping outdoors, absolutely loved it. Our guide, Colten, was super safe and professional, but very... More

Chris took a reservation for two on short notice, then, when none of his regular guides were available, showed up himself to take us up. It was a really fun day, even for a reviewer none too fond of heights. Chris took the time to make sure we were comfortable with a more challenging route, then stopped frequently along the... More

With my wife and adult daughter we had a great (half) day at Ogden's Via Ferrata. Two of us had done via ferratas before, one of us had not, and we are not otherwise experienced climbers. We were in great hands with our excellent guides (Chris, Hanna, and Ben) and always felt safe while still enjoying the thrill of the... More

I had such a wonderful time on our via ferrata trip! Our guides were amazing, encouraging and so incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the mountains and the concept of via ferrata overall. The views were incredible, as was the sense of accomplishment that we had when we reached the top. Definitely a "must-do" if you get a chance to... More

I would recommend this adventure to everyone. My family and I were treated to a great time by our guide Colten. We enjoyed the day and came away with a better understanding of our weaknesses, our fears and most importantly our strengths.

What a trip! Our guide was so awesome and really accommodating. We got up early to get climbing before it got too hot but the day ended up being beautiful and the views were breathtaking. BUT...the best part was the fact that all four of us (all 40+ years old and not having more experience than doing a climbing wall... More

My son and I had an amazing time hiking with Colten. We went up route 1 and our guide taught us how to climb without using the ferrata holds.
